Gilbert PreK-8 serves approximately 500 students in Mingo County, WV. The school was established in 2018 as the result of the merger of Gilbert Elementary and Gilbert Middle Schools. The building served as Gilbert High School from 1982-2011 and then Gilbert Middle spanning a time period of 2011-2018. Extensive renovations were completed to transform the building to an appropriate space for elementary aged learners. During the summer and fall of 2019, more improvements were made to the building, including roof and window upgrades.
