Strategic Plan

  • Why is a strategic plan important to a school?

A strategic plan is a document that establishes the goals of our school. The process of developing a plan helps all of us step back and examine where we are as a whole, where we want to go, and how to get there. In the absence of a plan, work may still get done on a day-to-day basis but often lacks a sense of purpose and priority. By having specific goals, we have a focus on our academic priorities.

    Our plan goals

    1. Mathematics Proficiency: Gilbert PK-8 will increase the number of students judged proficient in Math according to benchmark assessments by 10% by the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
    2. ELA Proficiency: Gilbert PK-8 will increase the number of students judged proficient in English/Language Arts, according to benchmark assessments by 10% by the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
    3. Student Attendance: Gilbert PK-8 will increase student attendance for the 2018-2019 school term as compared to the previous year.
