• What does it mean to be a Title I school?

    Burch PK8 is a Title I School.

    • This means we receive federal funds to provide extra help for students.

Qualifications for a Title I School

    • The amount of money we receive depends on the number of students who are considered low-income.

Advantages of being a Title I School

    • The money goes to help all students, regardless of whether they're considered low-income.
    • Money is used for teachers, interventionists, after-school programs, supplies, and additional educational programs.
    • It provides professional development for teachers and trainings for parents.

    Opportunities for Parents

    • PTO Meetings
    • Parent Information/Training Sessions
    • Volunteer
    • Be a part of councils and teams that benefit our school

As a Title I school, we rely on our partnership with you to ensure that our students succeed.  The connection between school and home can be very beneficial, and we hope you feel welcome to be a part of your child’s school experience and a part of the success of Burch PK8.  You can find more information about parent involvement here.
